A beautiful music video alongside a beautiful song. Both two parts, both different from her normal. Billie Eilish is known for her sad alternative songs, dark and stunning music videos. This represents a real diversion from what she's previously released. The song is very jazzy, and it really is nice to hear her unique vocals over a different style. The video is all animated, and more along the pretty side as opposed to having spiders in her mouth. Her brother FINNEAS did the heavy lifting on production of the track, which is nothing new for Billie. It's full of sweet chord changes, a nice electric piano, fantastic bass, and electric guitar accompaniment. These more common instruments replace the synths and distortion usually tied to Billie. The biggest change is that we get, instead of "when the party's over" vibes, some self-love! It's great to hear her sing about self-fulfillment and hope, considering she's young herself and her sad-girl demographic.
Like the animated music video, this song takes Billie from night to day. She's showing that, with her brother's help, she could be an artist willing to change. That is exactly what it'll take for this talented artist to keep topping charts.
